Children's Insurance Programs
We are often asked about insurance programs to insure children, but somtimes parents feel guilty for "profiting" from the death of a child.
Why should children be insured?
Children should be insured for a number of reasons: to guarantee their insurability later in life should they be ill and become uninsurable; children from families that have histories of health diseases such as diabetes and MS should be insured as early as possible; and when you purchase insurance at a young age the insured is guaranteed a low rate.
Who should purchases insurance for children?
Parents, Grandparents or Godparents often arrange and purchase insurance and later transfer it to the children as a gift. In some cases the cash value can be used to pay for their education as it grows on a tax-free basis.
Children's programs can be purchased with several riders, such as Guaranteed Insurability, Disability or death of the payor, and Accidental Death.
