    Term Insurance

Term Insurance is much like renting your insurance. It is the cheapest form of life insurance in the short term, but can be very expensive in the long term. The danger of term insurance is that one can outlive the coverage. Most term products sold today are for a level amount of insurance, usually to age 85 with the premiums increasing at regular intervals. Premiums are usually set for 1, 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. There is also a Term to 100 that is available from 40 to 80 years of age.

Term products have a 30 days grace period for the payment of premiums and automatically lapse after 30 days from the last payment.

One can purchase this program on a Single Life, Multiple Lives as in the case of Joint-First-to-Die and Joint-Last-to-Die coverage. There are discounts for multiple lives on a single policy. Many riders are available including Accidental Death, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Critical Illness, Children's' Life Insurance, and Premium Payment in case of Disability.

    Who should purchase this product?

Any one who has a short-term liability that needs coverage in case of the death of the person responsible for the liability or a need for a larger amount of insurance for a specified period such as during the child rearing years of your family.
